The Niagara Falls International Marathon celebrated its inaugural running in 1974. The race was known as the Skylon Marathon. Beginning during the first wave of the North American running boom, it quickly became a favourite as it was, and still is, the only marathon in the world that starts in one country and finishes in another… a destination marathon that crosses an international border, providing the runners with an experience of a lifetime. Niagara Falls International Marathon is also a Boston Qualifier.

NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario — June 9, 2010 — Now entering its thirteenth year, the Niagara Falls International Marathon is happy to announce our newest partnership with Cytosport®, a premier manufacturer of sports-oriented nutritional products that addresses the needs of athletes and active lifestyle individuals at every level.

The Niagara Falls International Marathon strives to provide a sporting event of world class standards for participants from all walks of life and to promote an active healthy lifestyle through the sport of running. The only marathon in the world that starts in one country and ends in another at the most famous finish line in the world, the brink of Niagara Falls.

This is the first year Cytosport® will be partnering with a Canadian event and the Niagara Falls International Marathon is thrilled to have them provide our marathon participants with their Cytomax Performance Drink.
