Why Should You Help?

The Niagara Falls International Marathon is a not-for-profit organization that relies on community support for help. Over 1,500 volunteers participate each year. This is a great opportunity to become involved in the community, meet new people and acquire volunteer hours.

What You Get Back!!!

All volunteers will receive a FREE shirt and tag credentials to wear over race weekend. You are also invited to attend our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Party on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Club Italia. You will be treated to a buffet with beverages, entertainment and a chance to win some amazing door prizes to celebrate your efforts.

Expo Set-Up & Tear-Down

Assist with the set-up and tear-down of the Forever Young & Healthy Living Expo on Friday and Saturday including organizing tables, chairs, booths, signage, decor, etc.

Vendor Load-In / Load-Out (Expo)

Assist with the load-in and load-out of vendors at the Forever Young & Healthy Living Expo on Friday and Saturday including moving in supplies and helping set-up booths, etc.

Final Clean-Up (Expo)

Assist with the final clean-up of Forever Young & Healthy Living Expo on Monday & Tuesday at the Skylon Tower including moving in supplies back to the main office, sweeping floors, etc.

Information Booth (Expo)

You will be responsible for answering questions, handing out maps, etc. at the Forever Young & Healthy Living Expo on Friday & Saturday.

You will be responsible for registering new participants and selling pasta dinner tickets at the Forever Young & Healthy Living Expo on Friday & Saturday.

You will be responsible for managing the “Look Up Your Bib # Table” where participants can locate their bib # in order to claim their race kit at the Forever Young & Healthy Living Expo on Friday & Saturday.

You will be responsible for scanning participant chips & bib’s at the SPORTSTATS booth at the Forever Young & Healthy Living Expo on Friday & Saturday.

You will be responsible for handing out race bib’s and shopping tote bag to runners at the Forever Young & Healthy Living Expo on Friday & Saturday.

You will be responsible for handing out custom technical shirts to runners at the Forever Young & Healthy Living Expo on Friday & Saturday.

You will be responsible for setting up the room for food & drinks, keeping area clean throughout the day and checking tag credentials at the Forever Young & Healthy Living Expo on Friday & Saturday.

You will be responsible for greeting guests as they arrive and helping to direct them to the correct locations at the Forever Young & Healthy Living Expo on Friday & Saturday.

Finish Line Set-Up & Tear-Down

You will assist with setting-up and tearing-down the finish line on race day including assembling barricades, fencing, tents, banners, etc.

Security & Crowd Control (Finish)

You will assist with directing participants through the finish line chute on race day, ensuring spectators are kept outside the area and ensuring the safety of all on site.

You will assist with setting-up and tearing-down the 2K, 5K, 10K start lines on race day including assembling barricades, fencing, tents, banners, etc.

You will be responsible for handing out left over bib’s from the Expo at the start line on race day to runners.

You will be responsible for collecting runners baggage at the start line on race day and transporting it on baggage buses back to the finish line for runners to claim when they finish their event.

You will assist with setting-up and tearing-down the schools challenge start line on race day including assembling barricades, fencing, tents, banners, etc. and helping to direct the kids, parents and teachers.
