Marathon Relay
The start of the relay begins at 10:00am.
Teams
All relay teams must provide a team name when registering. Each runner will complete 21.09K of the Marathon course. Limited to the first 200 teams registered.
Relay Bibs will be numbered with a letter A or B. Runner A (beginning in Buffalo, NY) will wear Bib A. Runner B (beginning at the Half-Marathon start) will wear Bib B. Please affix bibs to your front.
Teams that complete both portions of the relay in consecutive years will receive a complimentary stand to display your medals.
Runner A
The Niagara Falls International Marathon Relay starts at the Albright-Knox Gallery in Buffalo N.Y. Runner A will complete the first half of the marathon which includes the first 6.5K (4 miles) of that travel along the beautiful majestic parkway of Buffalo before crossing the Peace Bridge into the historic old town of Fort Erie, Ontario. The route then follows the beautiful Niagara River Parkway. Runner A will finish at the Half-Marathon start, also the exchange point with Runner B.
Upon finishing the first leg of the relay, Runner A will receive a finisher’s medal, mylar blanket and food bag. Buses are provided at this location for you to rest after your run. Once all Runner A participants have finished their leg of the race buses will transport you to the finish line to meet your relay team mate.
Runner B
Runner B will begin at the Half-Marathon start line located at the 21.09K mark (Cairns Crescent in Fort Erie on the Niagara Parkway). Runner B will follow the beautiful Niagara River Parkway and finish at the same finish line as the Marathon, beside the magnificent Niagara Falls.
Upon finishing the second leg of the relay, Runner B will receive a finisher’s medal, mylar blanket and food bag at the finish line.
