Actor Application

Thank you for your interest in our “Wax Museum Escapee” gig on Sunday October 30th.

Overview

A crew of characters have escaped from the Wax Museum in the Falls and are headed for the Niagara Falls International Marathon!

At least that’s how we’re painting the story…

Need to Know

  • We are looking for 4 teams that consist of 5 actors each
  • Each team is assigned a spot along the Niagara Parkway (our race course) for 1 1/2 to 2 hours then joins in our Finish Line party (by Table Rock Restaurant at Horseshoe Falls) for the remainder of time to make up the 4 hour shift
  • On course, the team cheers, high-fives, dances, talks in character, claps & participates in the ever-so-popular “selfie” taking with runners
  • At the Finish Line, actors mingle with runners (in character) and for those that so desire, break out into a song or two (or a lip sync) on cue with our event DJ/MC
  • Each actor is paid $120 for their 4 hours of work
  • Costumes are ordered and paid for by the Niagara Falls International Marathon
  • Characters must be famous and easily recognizable by the majority of our audience, which is 30-49 years of age
  • Note that you will be performing in outdoor areas with no cover from the elements.  The shifts are short and you can add to your costume for warmth.  If it is raining, please feel free to bring an umbrella as part of your costume
  • Note on acting ensembles – We have 4 team spots to fill. It IS possible to apply as an acting TEAM.  In this case, we ask that only the LEAD actor fills in the form below.  We ARE open to ideas – e.g. perhaps you want to play 5 Marilyn Monroes, or 5 Austin Powers, or 5 Elvis’…

  • We need your costume order by Monday October 2nd
