10:45 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:45 p.m.

PANELISTS

Carb Periodization, Stephanie MacNeill

Registered Dietician/Sports Dietician

Exercise training has employed the concept of periodization for decades, but the application of periodization to nutrition – specifically carbohydrates – is a comparatively new concept. Day-to-day or even meal-to-meal carbohydrate manipulation across your training cycle is one of the simplest nutritional strategies to promote endurance training adaptations

Keto, Kaitlyn Notwell, Get Well Co.

Certified Holistic Nutrition Practitioner

Certified Holistic Nutritionist Kate Notwell discusses the ketogenic diet and running performance. Learn how keto can relieve inflammation, improve mental clarity, and help you run your best race yet

Whole Food Plant Based, Brent Lockridge, Sustainable Nutrition

Certified Holistic Nutrition Practitioner

Sound nutrition for endurance athletes includes two main areas of focus that will allow the athlete to perform at their best. First, Energy Balance must be top of mind, this means the athlete must fuel their training with the appropriate amount of food to support the physiological adaptations that happen during training. Second, the athlete needs to further support total body health by consuming high quality macronutrients (carbs, protein and fat) from whole foods rich in vitamins and minerals

INJURY PREVENTION WORKSHOPS

20-30 minute workshops featuring discussion/demos on footwear, corrective strategies, gait and more

10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m.

During these sessions, Erin will discuss some easy and exciting new ways to prevent injury and pain for both the average and the avid runner.
