Water Station -Team Captain Registration

Team Captains are responsible for recruiting and organizing volunteers for their water station.  You must be at least 18 years of age to be a Captain.  Each of your volunteers must register themselves and sign our online waiver. They can access this form from our main Volunteer webpage.

Water Station Challenge
The primary focus of water stations is to make sure all runners are hydrated and fed.  We also want to make this FUN for volunteers and runners!
We will have judges on course to evaluate the BEST water stations.  The criteria are: 

  • 50% of points for theme
  • 50% of points for enthusiasm and encouragement

1st Place - $500
2nd Place - $400
3rd Place - $300
4th Place - $200
5th Place - $100

Prizes will be announced and awarded within a week following the marathon.

Post-race Party
All of our volunteers are invited to our fabulous post-race party following the race on Sunday October 30th at the Royal Canadian Legion at 5603 Spring St. in Niagara Falls.  We will have a hot pasta dinner with two settings. The first setting for water station volunteers is from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

  • If you are signing up as part of a team, go back to the main Volunteer page & choose the other sign-in form
  • Confirmation of your registration will be sent to the email address you provide
  • Please include street number/name, city, postal/zip code and country
  • Please reference your preferred water station location either my Mile Marker, cross streets or landmarks (e.g. Mather's Arch)
  • Our dinner and Volunteer party is free for volunteers that work a minimum 4 hour shift
    In registering as a Volunteer for the Niagara Falls International Marathon or any event outlined in this application, I state that I fully understand and assume the risk of participating on a course with high volume of participants, strollers, vehicular traffic, even when the course is policed.  I hereby state that I am fit to waive all claims for myself and for anyone acting on my behalf, against any and all sponsors, directors, employees, volunteers of the Niagara Falls International Marathon, The Niagara Parks Commission, Town of Fort Erie, City of Niagara Falls and the Region of Niagara for damages that might result from my participating therein.  If I am injured or taken ill, I hereby authorize race officials to transport me to a medical facility and/or to administer emergency medical treatment and waive all claims for damages that might result from such transport and/or treatment.  I also agree to provide certain medical data to race officials. Participants consent to receiving emails including confirmation of registration and, to use of any photographs, videos, recordings or any record of my participation in this event for any purpose.
