Team Captains are responsible for recruiting and organizing volunteers for their water station. You must be at least 18 years of age to be a Captain. Each of your volunteers must register themselves and sign our online waiver. They can access this form from our main Volunteer webpage.
Water Station Challenge
The primary focus of water stations is to make sure all runners are hydrated and fed. We also want to make this FUN for volunteers and runners!
We will have judges on course to evaluate the BEST water stations. The criteria are:
- 50% of points for theme
- 50% of points for enthusiasm and encouragement
1st Place - $500
2nd Place - $400
3rd Place - $300
4th Place - $200
5th Place - $100
Prizes will be announced and awarded within a week following the marathon.

Post-race Party
All of our volunteers are invited to our fabulous post-race party following the race on Sunday October 30th at the Royal Canadian Legion at 5603 Spring St. in Niagara Falls. We will have a hot pasta dinner with two settings. The first setting for water station volunteers is from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
